New Community Vision’s Exciting, Uncharted Path for Housing
Years ago, considering my next career move, I weighed looking for another job as an office manager or pursuing my passion to make a difference in housing.
Managing an office is relatively easy but it no longer interests me. Millions of people can do it, many better than me. If I spent my life energy on that, my contribution to a world that is suffering would be paltry.
I consciously decided to make a difference in housing, knowing that there is no path and failure is definitely possible. I would rather fail at something that I care about and believe is important.
So, that’s where I am. Pieces are falling into place and the timing is perfect.
I have many goals, the main one is talking with and ultimately partnering with churches, mosques, temples, and community groups to foster strong communities. That is a sturdy foundation for facilitating home sharing with people who like each other.
Another goal is to identify people who like this idea and would like to work together to make it happen sooner rather than later. If you, or people you know, are interested in seeing home sharing as a reasonable, mainstream possibility for themselves and others let’s talk. This is the early stage of an exciting journey. Right now is a great time to get involved.
